โš™๏ธ Chart Settings

LibreFolio provides a Chart Settings modal to customize the appearance and behavior of FX charts. These settings apply to both the mini-charts on the FX List page and the full chart on the Pair Detail page.

๐Ÿ”“ Accessing Chart Settings

You can open the Chart Settings modal from:

  • ๐Ÿ“‹ The FX List page โ€” via the settings button (โš™๏ธ) in the toolbar
  • ๐Ÿ“Š The Pair Detail page โ€” via the chart settings button

๐Ÿ“ˆ Signals Overlay

When using the detail page chart, you can configure which technical indicators are displayed as overlays:

๐Ÿงฎ Calculated Signals

These are computed from the pair's own data:

  • ๐Ÿ“‰ EMA (Exponential Moving Average)
  • ๐Ÿ“Š MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence)
  • ๐Ÿ’ช RSI (Relative Strength Index)
  • ๐Ÿ“ Bollinger Bands

Each signal can be toggled on/off independently from the Signals panel.

๐Ÿ” Comparative Signals & Benchmarks

You can also overlay benchmark comparisons to see how a pair performs relative to a reference:

  • ๐Ÿ“ Synthetic Benchmarks โ€” Custom baskets or computed reference rates
  • โ†”๏ธ Cross-pair overlays โ€” Compare EUR/USD against GBP/USD on the same chart

For the mathematical foundations, see Technical Indicators and Synthetic Benchmarks.

๐Ÿ’พ Persistence

Chart settings are stored locally in your browser's localStorage and apply across all currency pairs. They survive across sessions โ€” even after closing and reopening the browser โ€” and will only be lost if you clear your browser cache/storage or if the storage expires (browser-dependent, typically months to years).
